Collieston and Slains WRI

(Women's Rural Institute)

WRI 10th Birthday celebration

Collieston and Slains WRI was reformed in 1994, the former Institute having run from 1961-1977.

We are a social group; a society of women who live in the Parish of Slains and beyond who provide friendship and laughter and meet monthly from September to May in Collieston Community Centre.

Our syllabus is wide and varied to suit all tastes and there is the opportunity to compete with other Institutes in crafts, sports etc.

New members are always welcome and please don't think that you have to be over 40!  We would be delighted to welcome younger members and if Collieston & Slains WRI is to remain 'alive' we need the support of the community.

You are welcome to come to any meetings as a one-off or on an occasional basis.
