About Us

Morag Macleod, our Playgroup Manager, aims to develop children’s social skills in a play setting. As a result there is a large amount of play equipment for both inside and our garden outdoors. Our group is registered with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) and is regularly inspected by the Care Commission/HMIE to ensure standards are maintained. We provide up to 18 commissioned places for pre-school children. You can chose the time and number of weekly sessions for your child and your child does not have to attend every session. We are a registered charity and a not-for-profit organization - any extra income is reinvested back into the Playgroup. We keep fees for non-funded children to a minimum. The playgroup is run by a voluntary management committee, so parents are given a direct say in their child’s pre-school education. We are part of the wider community - we organise fundraising events for both the Playgroup and other charities and we have strong links with the local primary school and other voluntary and community organisations.
