The Post Office has moved to the Community Hall and the new times are as detailed below. Banking facilities and Hydro Electric tokens and E-Top-ups for mobile phones can also be purchased at the counter.

The opening hours are:

At Mains of Collieston, the farm shop sells home grown vegetables from the end of July until mid March.  Open daily August and September and Thursday -Sunday throughout winter selling range of potatoes and seasonal vegetables.  Home-reared lamb and beef sold in small freezer packs. Pre-School education is provided by Collieston and District Under 5s Group.

Primary education is provided by Slains School which lies 1.5 miles from Collieston. Pupils are transported from the village and Slains by bus. 

A bus is also provided for pupils travelling to Ellon Academy, the nearest secondary school, 6 miles away in the town of Ellon.

Slains Church in Collieston is administered by Ellon Parish Church (Church of Scotland). The Minister is Rev. Stephen Emery.  Services are held at Slains Church at 10.00am on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of each month. 

Saint Mary's and Saint James' are churches of the Scottish Episcopal Parishes of Ellon and Cruden Bay   The Rector of the Parish is the Dean of Aberdeen and Orkney, the Very Reverend Gerald Stranraer-Mull - 01358 720366.
