Fundraising

 

At the end of 2004, we set ourselves the target of raising £20,000 by Hogmanay 2005, as the village's contribution towards the new hall. A fund-raising team was formed and worked tirelessly over the twelve months, organising and co-ordinating many events including two ceilidhs,a sponsored walk, raffles and a hugely successful calendar.

By 17 December, the last event of the year, we were delighted to announce that not only had we achieved our goal, but surpassed it!

The total raised to 17 December 2005 was £21, 576.17!!

UPDATE - 16 January 2006 - Alison Allan's New Year's Day swim has increased our fund by £100. The total now stands at £21,676.17. Click for story and picture.

31 January 2006 - another £25 received for Alison's swim - Grand total now £21,701.17.
