Colin MacPherson

Moved to Collieston from Aberdeen in 2003, works offshore as a wellsite Geologist. When not drilling dirty big holes in the North Sea Colin likes to travel to far flung parts of the globe. Under the illusion that if you take enough photographs you’ll eventually get one right – ‘Quantity has a quality all of its own’.

Geology associations: ‘Professional Geologist Photographer of the year 1999’, with a lucky shot of an erupting volcano in New Zealand.

Can usually be spotted down by the pier with a Cannon EOS 350D waiting for the perfect wave and someone daft enough to park in the wrong place.
