Collieston Amenities Committee

The move to full community council status has begun! Twelve people from
the parish have written to the Council's area manager to ask him to begin
the process of calling for nominations to the new community council. The
number of people required to form a committee of the new community council,
is between 9 and 15 people.  Should more than 15 nominations be received,
an election will take place, managed by the Council. This will take place
before the Amenities Committee's final AGM in September, when the present
committee will all stand down. Successful nominees, or elected persons,
will then form the new committee. At the first meeting, the committee will
elect the office bearers and adopt the constitution. The draft
constitution, an amalgamation of the present Amenities Committee
constitution and the Council's template, is now available to view on line,
although still to be given final approval by the Council's legal
department."
