Collieston Amenities Committee consists of a group of local people who volunteer their services. The objectives of the Committee’s Constitution include the aim ‘to preserve and maintain the character and amenities of Collieston’ and to this end a wide range of activities and events take place, some annually. The Committee responds to changing priorities as they are identified. It has Community Council status with Aberdeenshire Council.

The Committee has meetings approximately every six weeks when minutes are taken and posted on this website and on village notice boards. It also publishes a village news-sheet called ‘The Collieston BLETHER’.

The annual Gala is one of the Committee’s main fund-raising events during the year. It is a time when residents and visitors alike come together for a week of fun and activity.
